These terms apply to the PaletteProof iOS app. By using the app you agree to them.
What the app is
PaletteProof estimates a seasonal color palette and undertone from a photograph, and gives an opinion on whether an item's colors suit that palette. It is a styling aid, not a professional consultation, and not a medical, dermatological or diagnostic tool. Results depend heavily on lighting and camera quality, which is why the app scores your photo and asks you to retake it when the conditions are poor.
Use it as guidance, not fact
Color analysis is subjective. Two human analysts frequently disagree, and so may this app. Do not treat a result as a definitive statement about your appearance, and do not rely on it for any decision where being wrong would matter to you financially or otherwise.
Your content
You keep all rights to the photos you use. A photo is sent to us only for the moment it takes to analyze it and is then discarded; we claim no licence over it, do not retain it, and do not use it to train anything.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Your first full color analysis is free.
- Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time purchase. Prices are shown in the app and vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- An auto-renewing subscription renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to analyze photographs of other people without their agreement, and do not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or resell the app or its output.
Availability and changes
Features may change, and the app may be updated or discontinued. If the app ever begins retaining your photos or results, the Privacy Policy will be updated to say so before that version ships.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.
